The Pyramids of Giza were one of the major developments in Egypt.
This is our PRIMARY SOURCE and is a major development because it was the last type of pyramid used. They used many pyramids before like the step pyramid, but this was the final choice.

1.
Amenhotep
IV is noted for abandoning traditional Egyptian polytheism and introducing
worship focused on the Aten, which is described as monotheistic or
henotheistic. (Beckerath) Having monotheism allowed the Egyptians to have fewer
arguments because they would all have the same beliefs. This would cause less
conflict which would make Egypt more successful.
2. The Middle Kingdom was considered a “golden age” because of the productive rulers during that time period. For example, Senusret lll was one of the very successful leaders during this period because of his military campaign. He conquered most of Nubia, and built a boundary dividing Egypt and the unconquered Nubia. After that, Senusret’s son Amenemhat III’s reign was the height of Middle Kingdom economic prosperity. His reign is remembered for its exploitation of Egypt’s resources. After The two kings’ deaths, Egypt was ruled by a series of weak kings, which brought the golden age to a closing. (Aldred)
3. The envoys were used to keep close ties with other empires and to keep trading. They also marked the first time in history that a group of nations worked together for a similar goal. (Mcgraw) Envoys were important because they could make peace between the nations.
4. The slaves used stone blocks as the material to build the pyramid. They first placed the blocks on wooden sleds. Next, they passed the sleds down to the Nile, and were given to the workers. The workers then loaded the blocks onto ramps, covering each layer of the pyramid.
